We are excited to announce the beta release of the Evaluative Artificial Speech Intelligence (EASI) platform: https://easi-as.com/
Speech-language pathologists have, for a long time, relied on assessments that measure isolated skills. Repeating a word or following a scripted direction offers valuable data, but it does not reveal how children communicate during real conversations. EASI addresses this gap by analyzing language in natural social contexts.
Traditional language sample analysis can take three to six hours for accurate transcription and scoring. EASI completes the same work in minutes. The platform uses advanced diarization to separate speakers and transcribes speech into English or IPA. Clinicians then apply their judgment to review, approve, and finalize results.
EASI enhances rather than replaces professional expertise. It provides standard scores, percentile ranks, and eligibility metrics while maintaining a human-in-the-loop design. The system also manages caseloads, stores sensitive documentation in compliance with FERPA and HIPAA, and assists with record review.
An integrated AI assistant supports clinicians by suggesting report language, summarizing background documents, and helping plan therapy. These features reduce the administrative burden that often prevents clinicians from focusing on their clients.
EASI was developed through a Phase II SBIR award from the National Science Foundation. The platform reflects nearly five years of development and collaboration.
We are inviting speech-language pathologists to participate in the beta release. More information is available at https://easi-as.com/
